Application Form

Applications are invited from woodturners between the ages of 18-38** who are already established on their woodturning journey and are aiming to make it a significant part of their future professional life. You should have already developed proficiency in the use of tools and be able to produce work free of significant flaws.

Woodturning is a broadening craft and any preferred style of turning is encouraged, be it production spindle turning, bowl turning, or sculptural pieces.

 

The programme is not suitable for beginners or those looking to learn rudimentary skills. It is aimed at those with significant passion for and professional future in the craft. 

If you are confident that you can meet these criteria, please complete the application form below. The ETP Committee will then assess your application.

The Deadline for Applications for the 2026 workshop is 31st May 2026

All applications will be assessed after the closing date and applicants will be notified of the committee's decision by 30th June 2026.

 

The 2026 workshop will be held in West Yorkshire between 18th -20th September 2026 , so applicants should ensure that they are available during this period.

The cost of each 3-day workshop is £225.  A deposit of £75 will be due on confirmation of acceptance with the the balance due by  20th August . Applicants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs throughout the duration of the programme.

** Applications outside the age range may be considered for exceptional candidates if sufficient space in the programme is available.

Please use the file upload to send 4 photographs each of FOUR of your best turned items that you feel best represents your work (16 images in total). Note the whole image will be assessed, so attention should be paid to lighting and background.
