About Jeffrey and his work

I first developed an interest in woodturning when at school I later went on and served an apprenticeship in Carpentry and Joinery. I continued turning on a home made lathe but it was not until the late seventies that I bought my first new lathe. Over the past thirty years I have been turning I have had a number of lathes I now turn on a Wivamac D B 1000 I also have a Jet JML Mini lathe.

I turn bowls platters and vases I undertake commissions and some antique repairs.

I have held two exhibitions of my work in my home town.

I enjoy teaching mostly on a one to one bases but will take couples if required. The courses range from beginners to intermediate with the option of half or full days and can be adapted to suit the students needs.

I attend a number of craft fairs throughout the year My one claim to fame is that I sold one of my clocks to H R H Princess Anne at a local craft fair.

I have had a number of articles published in the Association of Woodturners of Great Britain Newsletter on various aspects of turning.
